This is the 39th annual edition of this tournament hosted by the Coquitlam Minor Lacrosse Association.  The tournament was renamed in 2011 after lacrosse star Trevor Wingrove who passed away in 2010.  It only has top A1 caliber teams and is considered to be amongst the best in the country. The tournament is run by Heather Wilson and an incredible group of dedicated volunteers.  The athletes from this tournament will go on to play for provincial, national, and collegiate teams and championships.  We are proud to see many alumni of this tournament playing internationally and professionally in the National Lacrosse League and the Premiere Lacrosse League.

Gait Lacrosse has returned as our sponsor for the Trevor Wingrove Most Inspirational Player Award. The winner in each division is recognized for their quality of play, sportsmanship, and inspirational play to teammates.   Trevor played against Paul and Gary Gait at the minor, junior, and senior levels.

The Vancouver Warriors are also back as a major sponsor.  Curt Malawsky, the Warrior’s Coach and General Manager, will be coaching a Ridge Meadows team in this year’s tournament.  Curt and Trevor are former teammates.  Vancouver Warriors players and their mascot Timbr will attend on Saturday, June 1st for pictures and autographs from 12:00 to 3:00pm.

Please visit TrevorWingrove.com for a complete listing of schedules and scores. A real-time system will help you track the schedule and scores across all 5 divisions. “On behalf of Coquitlam Minor Lacrosse, I am honored to welcome back athletes from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the United States to this year’s tournament. With the inclusion of our female divisions, we are ecstatic to truly have the top teams in the male and female divisions compete in this year’s tournament. We welcome all athletes to the top competitive tournament lacrosse has to offer as they get themselves and teams ready for the upcoming provincials. The continued growth of the Trevor Wingrove Memorial Tournament is a testament to the growth of lacrosse and the continued legacy that has been established here at CMLA” Ryan Boivin, President CMLA.

“We wish all the athletes the best of luck at this year’s Trevor Wingrove Memorial Tournament.  It showcases some of the best talent from western Canada and the United States that our sport has to offer.  This tournament would not exist without our incredible sponsors and the volunteers from Coquitlam Minor Lacrosse who host the Trevor Wingrove Memorial Tournament, the Female Adanac Challenge, and the Jean Andre Tournament for the benefit of young lacrosse players.” – Craig Wingrove
